Well, i did it finally! My hair is all natural and lots of silver on top but i desire more silver so i liked it at first until i got in a different light and im not sure now. I don't really want to color my hair anymore so ill wait it out. I have a date coming up and i don't feel very pretty. Thats the problem.

If it ages us, then why have the young people being dying their hair grey as it’s been the fashion for the last 4-5 years….its still going. Let’s face it, people are dying their hair all wonderful colours …..the blue rinse no longer belongs to the OAPs. Get over yourselves ….getting older means being sassy and wise !!! Best feeling ever ! ❤

I watched my very lovely colleague going grey. Beginning honestly I thought, naah, that doesn't look professional. Next stage was nahh, she looks ten years older. I kept my big mouth shut, thinking rightfully it's none of my business. Two years and a haircut later was .. OMG this is gorgeous! Unique and absolutely high confidence protruding. Outstanding in the most positive way. Full respect to her and everyone.

You are so lucky she was honest. I had my virgin greying hair highlighted, I asked to be taken down only 2 levels instead she stripped it down to white and then toned it. My hair is like straw!! the problem is that white and grey hair is more delicate. She also did not listen to me. I am now growing the highlights out, one year out so far. Will take a good three years as my hair length is the same as yours. She did you a favor. Mine did me a disservice. You could do lowlights, meaning darker under would give a nice contrast and minimal damage.

I leave mine in for a whole day it takes a long time to create good curls but will nice ones if left in till dry and put in while damp enough.

Today, I turned 70 yrs old. I wanted to go grey since 65, but everyone around me pressed me not to. All said, you'll look like an old lady. But I looked in the mirror this morning & smiled at myself & felt it was time to go for it. You're RUclips inspired me. I'm going to watch as much as I can throughout my grey journey. You inspired me.

Grey hair does NOT age you but a grey disposition does.

I am 67 and so so tired of dying my hair. Plus the dryness and damage that comes from it. I am so over it. But I really wish women my age were more supportive. I mostly hear, “oh, I could NEVER do that!” Instead of “good for you”. It is not making me change my mind about going gray, it’s just not helpful.

I'm 54 and proud. I'm no longer hiding my age. There's nothing wrong with aging. We need to celebrate it 💯

Love your hair. Simply gorgeous. I was a natural brunette. I would spend a fortune on highlights and so much time at the hair salon. Stopped dying my hair in 2015. My hair is a beautiful silver colour, collar bone length with some deeper brown beneath. So yes, If I wear a pony tail, bun, etc., you see beautiful natural lowlights peeking through. I have received many compliments from women, men about how much they love my hair. I have been called Emmylou Harris. My hair is pretty much identical to hers and I even look like her. Best decision I ever made. Occasionally there are some nay sayers but it doesn't bother me, I am confident about going gray. My complexion does look better and I am exploring different colours......I am 69 years old. Beautiful journey for me......

My mom got her first Greys pretty young. In her 30s. I envied them ❤I called them "sparklies" cause in the sun they looked so cool.

My grandma had pure white hair except for a band of dark grey at the nape of her neck. My mom is still salt and pepper but we can tell that is happening to her too. I hope this also happens to me and/or my sister; it's a funny genetic quirk that would be an honor to inherit.

It's not just ditching the dye. Im enjoying having healthy hair again. Not dry, split ends. My hair feels soft and smooth. I keep caving in to the dye but Im determined.
